1. Our CO² laser machines use either Corellaser software with Nano controllers (3040/6040) or RDWorks software with Ruida controllers (bigger machines).
  2. Please note that certain AMD processors are known to cause issues with Corellaser – please let us confirm that your machine will in fact work correctly if you have a PC with an AMD processor.
  3. Should you decide to use any other operating software (Whisperer, Lightburn or some other clone), be aware that we will NOT support these alternative software products, and you may void your warranty by using them.
  4. Our UV printers use PrintExp/Riprint/Wellprint/PhotoPrint software, and our  Eco solvent printers use MainTop/ATools software.
  5. Should you decide to use any other operating software, be aware that we will NOT support these alternative software products, and you may void your warranty by using them.
  6. We will only offer support to the registered machine owner, or the person who was trained on the machine. We will only entertain technical discussions with the person who has been trained by us on the machine. Should you need additional training for staff who were not present at the initial training, or if the training was not completed due to staff not being present, or if your computer equipment was not functioning correctly, or due to load shedding at the time of installation, there will be no refunds on training – and a further training fee may be charged.
  7. All products supplied and quotations issued are from our Johannesburg Head Office, irrespective of which branch you may deal with. Our quotes have an “Expressed Usage” section, where you have told us what you require the machine to be capable of. Should you later complain that the equipment is unable to do something that was not included in the “Expressed Usage” section, we will do our best to accommodate your requirements, but if this is not possible, it is not grounds for replacement or refund.

  1. From time to time we have clients that did not anticipate the volume of work that owning a laser or CNC router will bring in, and they purchased a smaller machine “to get started”. They then find that they need to upgrade to a bigger machine to accommodate the greater flow of work.
  2. Mainly for this reason, Perfect Laser has a trade-in policy that is valid for the first three months after initial purchase. This only applies to smaller-to-bigger machines (for example from our desktop lasers or CNC routers to our floorstanding lasers or CNC routers.)
  3. Any trade-in excludes all freight return costs and delivery, training and setup costs, and will be subject to detailed inspection of the trade-in machine before approval, as there may be refurbishments and replacement of the honeycomb table or any other damaged part. You will need to supply detailed photographs of the machine beforehand.
  1. As with any complicated, high-tech equipment, there may be teething problems on installation of your new machine. Be assured that we will do our best to minimise downtime and get your machine running perfectly in as little time as we can.
  2. It may take up to 4 weeks to be productive – depending on client skills.
  3. Please note that any failure of parts, printer heads etc. that do not carry any warranty under normal circumstances, will not be covered by any warranty during this time either.
  4. Smaller machines can be offloaded manually, but large machines may require a forklift or up to 6 labourers. You are responsible for this.
  5. Should there be stairs to negotiate (or in the case of an elevator, should the machine not fit in the elevator) for the installation, it is your responsibility to provide labour, rigging or whatever may be required to raise the machine.
  6. Machines will only be released or delivered after full payment has been received.
  7. Disposal of wooden crates and packaging is the owner’s responsibility.
  8. Any offloading costs on site are for the owner’s account and responsibility.
  9. We do not accept responsibility that your designated workspace is suitable for your machine.
  10. If you require the air extraction system to vent externally through a hole in the ceiling, window or wall, you will need to arrange for the hole to be correctly prepared – either by yourself or external contractors – prior to the installation, as we will not make holes in your ceilings, windows or walls.
  11. We suggest you install power surge limiters as damage caused by such surges is your responsibility. We also suggest that you install an earth spike to properly earth your machine.
  12. Problems relating to clean power supply at your premises are not our responibility. For reliable operation of your equipment, the mains power supply to your premises needs to be stable, clean and within certain limits. Should we believe that your power supply needs to be tested, you will need to get a qualified electrician to do the tests – at your expense.
  13. Please ensure that you have at least a one kilogram Carbon Dioxide fire extinguisher close to your machine.
  14. Shipping schedules are only estimates and can vary from -1 week to +3 weeks.
  15. If we are seeing you over the weekend (especially if you live more than 100 kilometres from our offices) – then you need to be available. We can’t get to faraway places to be told that access can only be given on Monday!
  16. Delivery addresses (for obvious reasons) must be complete and accurate.
  17. The responsibility to fit in with the delivery company rests with you. We can try our best to schedule deliveries, but when it’s your machine, you need to be flexible and fit in with our freight carriers.
  18. The installation location is presumed to be on the ground floor with easy access. If this is not the case. please inform us timeously, and be aware that this may incur extra costs.
  19. We suggest that training involves 2 staff members or other persons in case one leaves.
  20. We do need access to your computer equipment – and equipment supplied by us. This means on installation or service calls. Should we be unable to gain access to PCs running our equipment, we will not be able to complete an installation or service call. This wastes our time and yours, and will lead to a further call out being required and charged for.
  21. When we install or repair your machine, you (or a person nominated by you) need to be present at the handover. If there is no-one in authority to sign off on the completed installation or repair, we may elect to sign off for you – meaning that you will not have the opportunity to ask any questions or clear up any confusion. If we do sign off on the installation or repair, you will have no recourse later.
  22. Should you request any type of servicing or repair and your machine looks like this, please don’t be offended if we refuse. We reserve the right to refuse repairs or maintenance if you have not kept your machine in a usable state.
  23. Ticket callouts for repairs or maintenance will be scheduled at our technical staff’s earliest availability on a FIFO (First In First Out) basis, provided that should there be an invoice for such callout, it has been paid for.
  24. Although we endeavour to normally have all spares in stock, there are times when we are out of stock, and have to order from our suppliers. In the event that the supplier is also out of stock, we will need to wait until stock is available before supplying the parts to you. This may take a few weeks to resolve.
  1. In most cases we are able to service and either partially or completely repair other brands of machines (non-Perfect Laser), but there may be times where different parts are required that are not interchangeable with our machines.
  2. Even though we may have quoted for a call out and repair/service, it will always be done to the best of our ability. We are not able to guarantee that the repairs made to non-Perfect Laser machines will be successful.
  1. Please remember to take out comprehensive insurance on your machine/s.
  1. We can only guarantee effective machine performance if original software is used.
  2. The warranty of your machine is not transferable in the event of a resale, unless the new owner has completed our training and maintenance course and the machine has been verified as being set up correctly.
  3. If you have a fire in your machine, there is NO warranty. It is your responsibility to keep an eye on jobs running – and not to leave your machine unattended. A laser can and will start fires if your material is flammable. See the disclaimer at the bottom of every page on this website.
  4. If you, or anyone else other than a trained technician from Perfect Laser(on an official Ticket / Jobcard callout only)attempts to repair your machine, you will invalidate your warranty.
  5. Your CO2 tube has a 6 month warranty against factory defects (from original installation date). However, should your tube be physically damaged (not a factory fault), or if you have water in the tube where it should not be (likely from overheating), the warranty is not applicable.
  6. Your warranty may be invalidated if you do not use distilled water in the coolant system.
  7. Should your tube be considered for warranty replacement, we need to send the manufacturer a specific diagnostic video – and their response of approval or denial of the warranty claim may take up to 3 days.
  8. Your warranty will be invalidated if you do not keep your machine clean and dust-free. Electronic and Optical components do not function well in dusty environments and may be easily damaged.
  9. If we work on your laser and there is evidence that you have tampered with the mirror alignment screws, your warranty may be invalidated, and there will be an additional charge levied to correct the alignment.
  10. If we are asked to service or repair your equipment, and you do not accept our service / replacement parts recommendations, (instead insisting that we use a work-around to get your machine going), there will be no warranty at all.
  11. Your warranty may be invalidated if you move your machine to different premises without a Perfect Laser technician being present to supervise the move.
  12. Depending on where you are located, it is possible that your machine will be delivered by a third party carrier and not by one of our staff. If you open the crate yourself and try and set-up and install the machine yourself, you will invalidate your warranty.
  13. If you are located more than 50km roundtrip from our nearest office, and we need to come to your premises after installation, our standard travel fees (whether your machine is under warranty or not) will apply.
  14. If your machine has a built-in computer, there is a 12 month warranty on the computer. If we have outsourced a notebook for your machine, it has a 3 month warranty.
  15. From time to time, we sell our demonstration machines as “demo models”. These have been used to demonstrate the machine’s capability to clients in our branches, and have not been used commercially. If you purchase a machine from us that has been used as a “demo” or demonstration machine (from any of our branches), the general warranty is 3 months from date of purchase except for laser tubes, HT power supplies, and printer heads, which will have no warranty.
  16. If a part (or a machine) is replaced under warranty, the original warranty period still applies. The warranty is not extended by the replacement.
  17. Should you have been offered a “free tube” in one of our promotions, you may not simply collect a tube. We will need to ensure that your machine has not suffered any collateral damage if your original tube has failed. There may therefore be a cost incurred for us to test and replace the tube.
  1. Load shedding will cause damage to the electrical and electronic components in your Perfect Laser Machine. This falls outside your warranty and will result in charges. Please make sure you have adequately insured your machine for load shedding and power surge incidents. Be aware that most insurance companies have now decided not to insure damage due to load shedding, so we suggest you check your policy carefully and take appropriate steps.
  1. These terms and conditions apply to our UV & Eco Solvent printers as well, apart from certain software types and programs that differ for colour machines. See the Colour section for more details. 
  1. Metal Cutting Lasers & Waterjet Cutters are built to client specifications, so delivery times are 9-10 weeks (to a South African entry port) from order. Delivery to you may take another week or two.
  1. Machine operation and maintenance training is supplied and can take up to one day. With metal cutters, fiber laser cutters and waterjets please allow for 2-4 days. Advanced training is offered at our head office. We will always assist with software support issues as long as it relates to Perfect Laser hardware, and not your Windows operating system or PC/Notebook. We also offer UltraViewer support. Be aware that we might need to see your source files to ensure they are not the cause of issues, and we may ask you for a sample of your substrate to test on one of our machines.
  1. Should you instruct us to send your parts or purchased items with one of our recognised regular couriers, ownership and responsibility will pass to the purchaser as soon as your order has left our facility or branch. You are welcome to use your own courier / freight company.
  1. Perfect Laser tries to make sure that no extra costs are incurred during and after installation. The following, however, must be allowed for:
  2. For small machines, a work table, bucket, ventilation and an adequate door size for machines to pass through for installation.
  3. For metal cutters, the rental or purchase of an appropriate gas cylinder and gauges. We will provide you with the specifications.
  4. For all larger machines, an adequate door size for machines to pass through for installation, and possibly a forklift or additional labour.
  1. Our company telephone system automatically records all calls – for staff training, evaluation and security, and to prevent a “he said, she said” situation. For these reasons, we do not permit our staff to interact with clients on their personal cellular phones – whether it be via social media or voice calls. This allows us to fulfil company obligations to our clients. knowing that every interaction is recorded for future reference. If you do have a staff member’s private cellular number, please do not be offended if they request to call you back from a company phone, or interact via email.
  1. You move your machine to a different place from the original installation and setup is required. Be aware that any damage caused by the move will not be covered – and will incur additional costs.
  2. You change your PC or software and you want us to reinstall or recalibrate.
  3. You need another staff member trained at a later stage.
  4. You have not maintained your machine – and parts have been damaged, or performance has suffered and we have to clean your machine.
  5. Any electricity / water / gas consumed while testing your machine will be for your account.
  6. Your software design skills may be fantastic, but issues relating to designs and PC compatibility are your responsibility – not ours. Should we discover that apparent problems are the result of your designs or your software, correcting these issues may be charged at between R500 and R1500 per hour.
  7. Your software setup skills may be fantastic, but should we discover that apparent problems are the result of you having changed software settings on your machine, or “upgrading” your software from the Internet, correcting these issues may be charged at between R500 and R1500 per hour.
  8. If your machine is capable of being fitted with a rotary attachment and you do not purchase a rotary attachment with your machine, but purchase it at a later stage, we will not perform training on the rotary attachment at your premises without a call-out fee.
  9. Should an on-site diagnosis of your machine be required, a call-out fee will be charged at our current rates.
  10. If we find your water coolant system clogged up with debris, or if you have tap water in the coolant system and it is blocked by calcium deposits, we will charge for cleaning – and you may invalidate your warranty.
  1. Perfect Laser does not do refunds on machines, parts, and consumables unless in exceptional circumstances within 24 hours of the client purchasing the item, and if it is undamaged and in original packing. Please ensure that you order the correct items. There will be a 30% handling fee (at the discretion of the CEO) for any machines, parts, or consumables returned and accepted.
  1. Please note that should you decide to do a self-installation of any Perfect Laser machine or parts, your warranty may be invalidated, and you will be responsible for anything that goes wrong. We offer training at our branches, but you will ultimately be responsible for any on-site issues that may arise.
  2. Products that are bought for self installation/assembly have all parts warranted provided always that the installation/assembly is performed in a suitable location by a qualified electrician in accordance with our installation instructions. We guarantee that our products will perform correctly as described when used and serviced correctly, but not for any other purpose.
  3. The performance of our products depends on the co-operation and diligence of our customers which includes cleaning and maintenance of the products. Our products do require cleaning, regular servicing and annual inspection to remain safe and effective.
  4. In the case of self-installation and the unlikely event that difficulties arise and our assistance is requested, our full installation and travel costs will be charged. We may require the return of failed parts at your expense. Failure to return such parts will invalidate the warranty and entitle us to charge for spare parts already supplied under warranty.

Perfect Laser makes every attempt to keep 100% of spares for our machines available. However, like a lot of digital and technical machinery, end-of-life is reached when some or all of the following occur:

  1. Where original part manufacturers discontinue parts that our manufacturers use. For example, in our colour machines the Epson TX 800 head. Our manufacturers also outsource parts such as carriage boards and mainboards. Over time these are updated/upgraded and in most cases, the new boards work with newer firmware which does not always work well with the older boards.
  2. Where our manufacturers replace various subassemblies with more advanced systems – which will at the very least require a rebuild.
  3. Where linear guides and rails, or ballscrew threads drift out of alignment and compromise system accuracy.
  4. Where a chassis gets bent due to the machine being moved in a negligent fashion or if it gets dropped.
  5. Where damage occurs to the machine that would necessitate a rebuild costing more than the value of the machine.
  6. Fire or water damage.
  7. Electrical surges or lightning damage.
  8. Where the underlying technology of the machine becomes obsolete and spares are not available anymore.

For colour machines, end of life is generally after 3 years but could be less or more. For laser machines, end of life is generally after 6-8 years but could be less or more.

  1. Perfect Laser will only install your machine’s operating software on computers running Windows 7 or 10. We currently do NOT support Windows 11, although we are testing compatibility and may do so in the future. Certain limited versions of Windows such as “Home” will not work correctly. Our installation will be limited to Corellaser (for PLT-3040 and PLT-6040 machines), RDWorks (for the HQ range and larger machines), and EZCad (for fiber engravers). Printer software is MainTop/ATools (for Eco solvent machines), and PrintExp/Riprint/Wellprint/PhoPrint (for UV printing machines)
  2. Software for operation of waterjet cutters, fiber cutters and other large machines is preinstalled on the industrial computer supplied with such machines. Design software such as CorelDraw does not form part of the operating software and as such it is your responsibility to install / upgrade your design software.
  3. We can not and will not support pirated / copied software at all.
  4. Should an issue arise where we suspect your software / PC is at fault, we will use one of our computers to demonstrate that your machine is operational.
  5. Where possible, and within reason, we will ask our software specialists to assist via Ultraviewer to identify and/or correct the issues. For this you MUST have an Internet connection. There is, however, no guarantee that we will be successful.
  6. If required, we can supply (at a reasonable cost) a dedicated PC or notebook that is already set up with the operating software.
  7. We also recommend that you bring in your laptop or PC so that we can install and test the operating software prior to the installation date. This will allow us to ensure that your laptop or PC will work with our equipment ahead of time and allows you to have more time to focus on training on the day of installation.
  8. We are not responsible for your IT/network infrastructure issues. Our jurisdiction ends after we have installed the software on your laptop or PC and have tested it with a direct connection from the Ethernet or USB cable provided with your machine. Should you wish to connect via a server or network, you will need your IT specialist to assist.
  9. Ongoing software support does not include change of operator / staff, problems caused by software updates, such as Windows, anti-virus and design software updates; hardware crashes, loss of data, computer upgrades or replacements; and user changes to factory settings.
  10. We will assist with file integrity assessments within reason via online support. In many cases, your machine’s output can often be improved, simply with better design parameters
  11. If you purchase one of our machines second-hand from another client, a transfer of ownership needs to be completed on our system. Unless the new owner has completed our training and maintenance course and the machine has been verified as being set up correctly, there will be limited support offered.
  1. If we have your equipment at one of our branches for repairs and we replace parts, we generally dispose of worthless or damaged parts immediately after replacement. If you want your broken / damaged parts returned, kindly inform us before we start the repair
  2. If we have your equipment at one of our branches for repairs, and you do not collect it within 60 (sixty) days of the date of the repair quote (or make other arrangements with us), it may be sold or otherwise disposed of to defray storage,  troubleshooting, parts or parts ordered for you, and time spent on investigation, without notice.
  1. We currently charge R2500 for a call-out on our machines. This is for a maximum of two hours of a technician’s time. Further time spent after the two-hour window will be billed at R1000 per hour or part thereof.
  2. Should you require a call-out on a non-PLT machine, the initial call-out fee is R3500.
  3. Please do not expect our technical staff to be available after hours for call-outs. We offer our clients phone-in support on our national support line until 8pm on weekdays.

Perfect Laser does not tolerate abuse of our staff. We reserve the right to refuse to engage with clients or their spouses or staff who are abusive to our staff for whatever reason. We take all incidents of aggressive, violent or abusive treatment against our staff very seriously.

We recognise that our employees have the right to a safe and respectful work environment. In our interactions with you, we will strive to ensure that you are treated with fairness, integrity, and respect.

We understand that individuals may at times express themselves in a less than ideal manner, including using profanity, insults, and accusations, and will take this into consideration when working to resolve your issue.

Violent, abusive, or aggressive behaviour, however, will not be tolerated.

In order for us to maintain good relations with our clients, please take note of the types of behaviour that are unacceptable:

  1. using bad language or swearing at staff
  2. verbal abuse towards the staff in any form including verbally insulting staff
  3. racist and / or sexist comments
  4. persistent or unrealistic demands that cause stress to staff
  5. physical violence

This policy extends to any interaction with a staff member whether in-person, phone, letter, email, or through our website.

A breach of the Zero Tolerance Abuse Policy constitutes grounds for us to decline or discontinue services.

Should you at any time after purchasing one of our products or services experience any product, technical, support or service issues of any kind whatsoever, be it in relation to the product, the installation or operation thereof, training, service, set-up, or howsoever arising, you agree that you will provide a detailed written report on any such issue to us by emailing same to Perfect Laser (Pty) Ltd. At :

Should you intend to publish any negative comment, feedback, statement or review in relation to such product or service experience in or on any public or social forum, printed, electronic or otherwise, you are advised that no such publication shall be entitled to portray Perfect Laser (Pty) Ltd. in a negative light or seek to damage, defame, or degrade Perfect Laser (Pty) Ltd. in its reputation, whether directly, indirectly or implied, and no such publication is to be made without first making Perfect Laser (Pty) Ltd. aware of any such intention, favouring Perfect Laser (Pty) Ltd. with a copy of the intended negative comment, feedback, statement or review, and allowing Perfect Laser (Pty) Ltd. a reasonable opportunity of not less than 48 working hours to respond thereto.
  1. Should any false, baseless, defamatory or like natured publication be made, or should you proceed with the publication of any such negative comment as is contemplated above without having allowed Perfect Laser (Pty) Ltd. the stipulated and agreed opportunity to respond, you agree that Perfect Laser (Pty) Ltd. shall be entitled, at its own discretion, to approach an appropriate court for an urgent interdict (or remedy of like nature), to prohibit and remove any publication falling within the aforementioned ambit and to thereafter pursue a claim for any damages caused, whether directly or indirectly, by such publication, the costs of which are to be for your account and are to be taxed on an attorney and own client scale.

All Perfect Laser equipment is sold defect and error free and comes with a Factory Defect Warranty of 12 months from date of installation for laser equipment (except the laser tube & High Voltage power supply, which are warranted for 6 months). Associated peripherals such as red dot pointers and autofocus pens carry a 6 month warranty as well.

Chillers, water & air pumps, extractor fans and proximity sensors are warranted for 3 months, all subject to operating the machine as per the manual. Water flow sensors have NO warranty.

"Factory Defect Warranty" means that the Factory warrants that the goods are fault-free upon leaving the factory. After the warranty period, most replacement parts and service carry a 3 month warranty, with the exception of laser tubes that carry a 6 month warranty and printer heads that have NO warranty. 

All small business machines including but not limited to all heat presses, vinyl cutters and small CNCs have a warranty of 6 months.


  1. Actual physical damage to the glass laser tube – especially overheating
  2. Self-installed laser tubes, power supplies, and associated parts
  3. Not maintaining a clean cooling water supply
  4. Fire damage to your machine or premises
  5. Any non-factory defects.
  6. Please note that should it be found that any malfunction or failure of parts is not caused by a factory defect, then the costs and associated charges will be applied, irrespective of whether the machine is under warranty or not.
  7. Printer heads do not have any warranty.
  8. Call out fees and travel costs are not covered under warranty. 
  9. Electrical damage caused by a lack of proper surge protecting equipment, or damage due to load shedding or lightning is not covered under warranty.
  10. Damage due to water, corrosion, blocked air inlets or outlets is not covered under warranty.

The warranty on Perfect Laser Technologies UV and Eco solvent printers is 1 year from date of installation, excluding heads, which have NO warranty. We are however responsible for “out of box failures” discovered on the day of installation. 

The warranty does not cover self made software changes and subsequent software clashes because of updates your computer will make. Also be aware that your printer should be connected to a computer and nothing else.

The warranty will be void if you have damaged your print head after handover and if you have not cleaned your printer’s ink circulation system regularly.

For all colour machines, a call out travelling fee will be charged based on our standard R/KM rate.


Printers need to be installed in a dust-free, temperature-controlled environment and we recommend you have a designated room for your machine.

Colour Machines should not be moved and we cannot accept these for instore repair unless collected by us.

It is recommended that only inks supplied by Perfect Laser are used as they have been matched to the print heads. Inks for all our printers can be bought from any Perfect Laser Branch.
