CNC BIts
CNC bits are tools used when manufacturing by CNC routers which work to cut and/or engrave a work piece to achieve a multitude of 2D Profiles, V-Groves, 3D Reliefs, Area Clearances. Beveled and Contoured Edges. Enabling manufacturers to produce a near complete product, with little or no additional manufacturing processes.
CNC bits come in a variety of shank diameter, total tool length, cutting diameter, cutting edge length, flutes, mortise height, shear direction and material. Which are used to achieve various results.
The combination of these variables allow the machining of the following materials such as:
- Wood: Particle Board, Hard Boards, Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) etc.
- Tiles, Granite, Stone and Marble.
- Aluminium – Including all Grades.
- Copper.
- Brass.
- PVC and Composite Materials.
- Plastic, most Polymers and more.
Perfect Laser offers the following types of CNC bits:
- Ball Nose Bits: Mostly used for 3D Relief Surface Finishing.
- Down Cutter Bits (End Mills): These are used mostly for cutting thinner and more flexible materials.
- Engraving / V-Cutting bits: These bits come in a variety of angles and shapes
- Skimming bit / Bottom clearing bits: For Surface Level Clearance.
- Specialized Bits: Up & Down / Compression Cutter (End Mills) & Up Cutter (End Mill). Recommended for thicker materials and also used for slotting and or grooving.
- Diamond Coated Bits: For Granite and Stone Engraving
